An exhibition of art about play
10 December 2019 - 27 February 2020
Curated by Tegan Iversen, Let’s Play is a fresh exhibition of playful, joyful artworks specially chosen to appeal to young children. Featuring a range of emerging and established Melbourne artists, the exhibition will incorporate colourful, fun and silly sensory experiences for families and the young at heart. This exhibition investigates play from a child’s perspective, incorporating images of toys and large and tiny objects that enhance a sense of wonder and curiosity. Enjoy mixed-media works on paper by Tai Snaith, Meg Rennie, Carla McRae, Brooke Van Der Linden and Evie Barrow, ceramics by Pei Chi and Kenny Pittock, art murals by Tegan Iversen and a giant piñata by Kitiya Palaskas!
Tegan Iversen is a Melbourne based artist, illustrator and curator, who loves colour, cute things and eating hot chips. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Art (drawing) from the Victorian College of the Arts and currently co-runs F*EMS, a female and non-binary arts collective and zine. Keep a look out for family arts events associated with this exhibition, available for booking from December onwards.
